Why Install Air Conditioning?

We’ve all felt the heat rise in recent years, especially during the spring and summer months, and Air Conditioning is the perfect antidote.

Too much heat when trying to sleep has been proven to make sleep more elusive, and leads to tossing, turning and little rest. It’s a proven fact that having a lower temperature in the room when you’re trying to sleep is helpful to getting you off to sleep and improves the quality of the sleep you get. So, having air conditioning installed in the bedroom is the ideal solution to making sure you always get a good night’s rest.

Installing Air Conditioning will not only keep your room cool and help you relax, but A/C also removes humidity too – something we’re all too familiar with in warm weather here in the UK. Removing humidity from a room, or rooms, helps keep temperatures down, as well as helps to prevent damp in the home which can be caused when the air is too humid. Not only that but removing humidity in the home will help to prevent both dehydration and heatstroke.

Air conditioning can be installed in as little as a day, with little mess or disruption to your home.

Modern Air Conditioning units are designed with style in mind and blend seamlessly into your interior, and with some units being available for less than the price of a new TV or fridge-freezer there has never been a better time to consider what lifestyle bonus you want to invest in next.

Types of Air Conditioning

Everyone’s home is different, and so are their needs when it comes to an Air Conditioning system. Some people have one room that needs to be cooled, others have a whole home that gets too warm. Ducted Air Conditioning

Ducted Air Conditioning is the classic HVAC style A/C system people imagine. Rigid ducts andintegrated A/C vents are the hallmarks of this type of Air Conditioning.

Split System Air Conditioning

Split System Air Conditioning is the kind of A/C system typically used for private homes. It involvesan outdoor and an indoor unit for minimal disruption.

Multi System Air Conditioning

Multi System Air Conditioning is an A/C system somewhere between Ducted and Split System. It takes the low mess approach of Split System and provides cooling to multiple rooms.

How Does Air Conditioning Work?

Air Conditioning works in a very simple sense by taking the warm air out of the room, and transferring the heat outside, leaving only cool air in its place.

The warm air in your room is taken into the A/C unit through the base of the machine and then passed over chiller pipes that contain a refrigerant liquid. The refrigerant liquid cools down the air and a dehumidifier removes any excess moisture.

The refrigerant absorbs heat from the warm air blowing past the pipes, this then causes the liquid to evaporate and go from a cool liquid to a hot gas. The hot gas is sent outside through a compressor unit and condensing pipes where it dissipates into the outside air. The hot gas then turns back into a liquid so it can continue to be used in the Air Conditioning cycle.

Since the A/C unit has taken the hot air from the room, and removed the heat and humidity from the air, it then pumps out the cool air that is left. This cool air is then what brings the temperature down in your home!
