A resin bonded driveway is similar to a resin bound driveway in that it is made from a mix of aggregate stone and resin. However, whereas a resin bound driveway is made by mixing the resin and aggregate stone together before laying it, a resin bonded driveway is made by pouring the resin onto the prepared surface first, then adding the stone on top, for a different and stronger finish.
A resin bonded driveway looks fantastic. They offer a different type of finish than their counterpart, giving a more traditional finish to your new drive, whilst remaining just as customisable as other resin drives. Because resin bonded drives are made by pouring the aggregate stone onto resin, rather than mixing the two, the final finish is more akin to a gravel finish than the classic resin drive smooth finish.
Resin bonded driveways are also low maintenance and won’t allow weeds or unwanted plants to break through the drive surface thanks to the way they are laid. Add to that the fact that they are easy to clean, and as long as they are kept clean, they will be resistant to mould or algae growth – making them secure and safe to walk on in all weathers.
