Tesla are the new kids on the block when it comes to the solar market. Probably the most well known name in solar to the public thanks to their media presence, they’re one of the most searched for Solar Manufacturers in the UK.
Tesla offers sleek, easy on the eye all-black solar panels with a 25-year warranty. Not only that but Tesla also offer their own smart solar inverter which has both Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. This means that as you would expect from Tesla, the panels work with the Tesla Powerwall and the Tesla app to allow you to manage your solar system anywhere in the world.
Not only that, but Tesla using mounting hardware that uses 30% fewer anchor points on the roof when compared to a traditional solar panel installation, which makes Tesla solar panels stand out less from the roof, improving their look on your home.
Unfortunately, Tesla solar panels are not available in the UK currently. Tesla have stated that they will be available eventually, but at present UK customers are only able to sign up for when they will be available. They are not even available for pre-order.
Interestingly, Tesla technically speaking don’t manufacture their own solar panels, but rather supply and install them. Tesla solar panels are currently manufactured in partnership with a company called Hanwha. It seems likely that Hanwha are producing solar panels specifically to Tesla specifications, we can’t actually say whether this is the case.
