Double-Hung Windows

A double-hung window has many advantages that make them a good choice for your home. Especially over single-hung windows.

Because both halves of a double-hung window are movable they are significantly easier to clean by hand, as the outside can be cleaned from the inside.

More importantly though, double-hung windows are safer. Since both parts of the window itself can be moved you can open the top half of the window whilst keeping the bottom closed. This means that your children and pets can still be around without any risk of falling from climbing through the open window – since the open half of the window is out of reach!

Another advantage of double-hung windows is that you can open both sides part way, improving airflow into your home by having warm air leave the home through the top half of the window, whilst cooler air can enter through the bottom half.
